I have hit a dead-end in researching my DEAN family heritage.

The wedding certificate of George Elsworth Dean (b.1857, Vermont; d. 1927, California) and Alice Christina Davis (b.1855, WI; d. 1905 WI) lists a Franklin and Elizabeth Dean as parent/witnesses.

I am searching for Franklin and Elizabeth Dean, and their lineage. George's census records indicate Franklin was born in Vermont and Elizabeth in New York (and Vermont).

At the age of 14 George was living with John (B. Chester, Vermont) and Hannah Sparrowck (B. New Hampshire), maternal grandparents of his future wife, in Rock Co WI. George is listed as an adopted son in both of their obituaries.

Alice's father was also born in NY and her mother in NH.

Searches have not yielded anything.
