Thanks Tonkin Rosa and Edwin are the only 2 now I haven't got details on. All the others I've got births, deaths, marriages and burial details. I have posted on some of your journals other details I have found about Leslie king Fly who was killed in the First World war in France in 1918 , my grandfather Eric Charles Paton Fly who was killed in the Second World War aged 41 in 1943 and Alice Fly, born 1888 who moved to Young in NSW and died in 1974 aged 86. I also can't find details on Walter Fly who died in 1873, but there is a stillborn death at the Ballarat Cemetery in 1873 which may be him. I'm interested if you have any info on Walter and Harold Robert King from the John Fly/Elizabeth King line. I found some great photos in the Bendigo Advertiser archives of the 2 brothers who fought in the First World War. Also John Alan Fly won a military medal which has a citation on the War Memorial site which is great to find. Regards Richard

Two of William Fly's sons went to the Boer War. His death notice says they died in South Africa (pre-deceasing him) but in fact at least one of them, married and had a family. His offspring live in South Africa and some, that I have met, live in New Zealand.
Harold Robert was my Grandfather, he passed away in 1989. I have done quite a bit of work on the family tree (some years back) but need to resurrect my retired PC to gain access to the details. I also noticed that someone asked about John Fly and stated he was 73 when he died in Bendigo. From memory, he was 19 or 20 when he arrived in Australia on the SS Recruit in 1853. I believe he was in his 90's when he died. I will find the accurate data and post it on this site. If you wish to connect with me please send a Private Message.

Hello - I am looking for further information on the South African FLY family from Natal. What I know:
1. William FLY was of Vaucluse (a farm near Boston, Natal) when his wife, Marie, died in 1905.

2. Victor Robert FLY
Married 1940 in Natal
Elizabeth Royston DRAGE (1920-2001)

I am trying to find the connection between Wiiliam FLY and Victor Robert FLY.
I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP OR LEADS!
