In 1916 two brothers, Thomas and Henry Donovan left England for Canada.

Thomas was married and his wife Edith, or Amelia, she used both names, joined him a few months later.

They lived in Quebec and in 1918 Henry married Kate, or Catherine.

The two brothers joined the Canadian Expeditionary force to Siberia.
This expedition did not last long and seems to have been a political error. From this point the two brothers and their wives disappeared from view.
