George Jr. was born 14 Oct 1899 in Wynne, Wynne, Arkansas, son of George Wallace and Sue KELLY ELDRIDGE. He graduated from Wynne schools and attended the University of Arkansas and School of Banking at Poughkeepsie, New York.
He married Dorothy EDWINGTON BLOCK on 23 Nov 1923 in Wynne, dtr of Felix and Eva MURPHY BLOCK. She was born 31 May 1901 in Vanndale, Cross, Arkansas. George was employed by the Cross County Bank in Wynne for 26 years and retired 1 Jan 1965 as vice president and cashier. He was also a general agent for the New York Life Insurance Co. for 47 years.
He died 11 Apr 1966 in Wynne, Dorothy died 30 ay 1985 in Wynne. They are buried in the Cogbill Cemetery. The Eldridges were members of First Methodist Church. They had 1 child;
