Julia Veronica ELDRIDGE was born 11 Nov 1907 in Davenport, Scott, Iowa. She attended Sacred Heart School and the Immaculate Conception Academy (no longer exists) in Davenport.

Before her marriage, she worked for Gordon-Van Tine Lumber Co. making catalogues, and m. L. Parker Department Store in downtown Davenport as head of marketing.

On 31 Dec 1928 she married Dr. Doering in Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. Dr. Doering had a son by Anna (no maiden), his first wife, Richard Harold Doering, born in Davenport.

Albert was born 16 Sept 1890 in Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, an adopted son of Wilhelm and Christina LUDERS DOERING. The family came to Davenport in 1897. Dr. Doering graduated from Brown's Business College and the Northern Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. They lived at 1131 W. 16th St. in Davenport and were members of Sacred Heart Cathedral. They had 2 children.

He died 12 Feb 1973 in Davenport and is buried in Davenport's Memorial Park Cemetery. He was a 32nd degree Mason. She died 14 May 1999 and is buried with him.

1) Donald Joseph DOERING born 23 Dec 1930 in Davenport, attended public schools, St. Ambrose College in Davenport and earned his optometry degree from the Northern Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He served in the Army from 1953-55 as Ft. Sheridan (Illinois) Post Optometrist. He practiced with his step-brother, Richard, in Davenport. HE did not marry. He died 14 Jun 2005 in Davenport.
2) Jeannette Mary DOERING born 22 Aug 1933 in Davenport. She graduated from Davenport High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago in psychology and social work. She married Robert Charles PAULI on 12 Jul 1952 in Davenport's St. Paul Lutheran Church, son of Albert William and Dorothy Elvira BRACHTEL PAULI, born 27 Jul 1931 in Davenport. He died 11 Jun 1997 in Bloomington, DuPage, Illinois. No disposition on her (2011).
