Flyfamily on 2013-06-04 06:50:02Hi Tonkin WALTER FLY was born in 1873. A stillborn Fly baby is buried at the Ballarat Cemetery and died in 1873. Could it be Walter Fly as I can't find any details about him.? Regards Richard
lewisfly on 2013-06-20 18:11:05Walter Fly went to South Africa in the early 1900's. He married Lucy Ings and they had 5 children: Alice, Nel, William, Walter and Charles. I had contact with Graham the son of Charles in 2000, his children are: Derek, Lesley & Bradley. His brother Walter, has a son Greg who was living in Auckland when I met him. We subsequently caught up in Melbourne when he visited with is wife Christine (maybe 2003+-).
William Fly was born in 1838 in Bermondsey, Surrey England. He died 19th May 1922 in Armadale, Vic.

Now I know why I could not find Walter FLY in the Australian records. Had an idea he left Australia. Your input will also assist other FLY researches, so thanks again for taking the time to pass on these details.

Flyfamily on 2013-07-13 12:17:17Arthur Fly died of Typhoid fever in 1889 aged 12. Alice Fly moved to New South Wales after marrying James Ramsay from North Sydney. They had 3 children Eileen Moyes Fly, B 1909, Ernest Ross born 1903 and Arthur born 1910.Charles Fly and Kath Neilson Ross had a daughter, Katie Neilson Fly born 1892. William Fly and Elizabeth Hall Samsom had 4 children, Jessie b1889 d1965, She married Eric Winton Jack in 1917. Ilma Fly b1891 d1962, married Albert Vance Tyler in 1914, Alice Fly b1888 d1974 and Arthur Sansom Fly b1899.
