Frederick and Kate Stockley
Hi,
Looking for any information on Frederick George Stockley and his wife Kate Evelyne Grace Carseldine of New Zealand.
I believe Frederick was born in New Zealand and Kate was born in Queensland, Australia.
Update 20 Dec 2009: Thanks to Allycat...I found alot of useful information about the Carseldine family of Queensland through the Queensland Historical Records. Also found some useful info on the Stockleys in NZ Historical Records. This information led to other findings and I was able to trace both families back to the 1700s. For so many years, this line was difficult for my family to trace, but thanks to Allycat she pointed me in the right direction.
Now I'm searching for any information on Frederick and Kate's children. I have a connection through their daughter, Lynette, who married my uncle Eric Wesche. They lived in Helensville, NZ and are both deceased. Just want to know about Lynette's siblings. I was told that she had a twin brother...don't know his name. I was told she also had other brothers and sisters.
Appreciate any information please.
Thanks for reading,
Sandy

Hi there. I am a Stockley. (my maiden name is stockley) I am wondering if your Stockley ancestors came from England? If so where abouts??
Hi sandy,
I have just received some of my great grandfathers info and in it was a booklet which has some of e info you were asking about. Hopefully you are still interested.
Grace has the following family.
Lydia (died as a child)
Olga Knox
Cynthia Knox
Harry carseldine
Leslie & Lynette carseldine
From what I can see, grace was married to Malcolm Knox first and then to Fred.
My great grandfather was Grace's younger sister.

Hi Steve,
Thank you so much for the information. I really appreciate this. I will add this information to my family tree.
Thanks once again....
Sandy
Hi Steve,
It is nice to meet someone from aunt Lynette's family.
I was raised in New Zealand and live now in the United States.
I never knew that Lynette's mother Grace had another marriage. Thank you for sharing that information. One of my hobbies is family history research, and when I find or receive new information about an individual or family, I am intrigued!
Looking at the list you posted of Grace's children, I notice you have the last name Knox next to Olga and Cynthia. So I would assume that their father was Malcolm Knox is that right? Was Lydia also Malcolm's child? I remember Aunt Lynette said that her maiden name was Stockley. So I would assume that Leslie was her twin brother right? Was Harry also a Stockley?
I really appreciate the information you have given me. I have been searching for this information for a long time. Thank you. It was a sad time for my family when aunt Lynette died in 1993. Uncle Eric was never the same when she died. He took her death very hard. Especially the death of their only child Eric John, who died years earlier in 1984 at the age of 14. The deaths of his wife and child took a toll on uncle Eric and he passed away in 1995. Eric is my paternal grandfather Johannes Wesche's younger brother. I often think about them and keep their memories alive as I look into their family history, especially aunt Lynette's line. If you have any other information on Lynette's side I would appreciate receiving that information as well. You are welcome to private message me if you would like.
Kind Regards,
Sandy
