Robert was born 15 Jun 1926 in St. Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, son of Paul and Paula Jeanette SCHLEGEL FRENZEL. He served in the Navy during WWII. He earned his BSE degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts and his MBA from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.

On 15 Feb 1958 he married Kathleen Margaret CULL in Syracuse, New york. She was born 29 Oct 1928 in Syracuse, dtr of Joseph and Mary Ethel SULLIVAN CULL. She received her BS from Syracuse University with a major in Chemistry. She died 9 Dec 2010 in Fairview, Erie, Pennsylvania.

The FRENZELs make their home in Erie, Pennsylvania, where Robert is president of Elgin Electronics, a subsidiary of Combustion Engineering. (1986) They had 4 children all in Syracuse:

1. Sarah M (Margaret?) born 11 Aug 1959. She graduated from the University of Florida in GAinesville where she earned her BS in Marketing and is working as a marketing consultant in Tampa, Florida (1986)
2. Thomas Dennis McKEE born 3 May 1961. He is currently working at Jacksonville, Kentucky, as a restaurant manager (1986)
3. Heidi H. born 25 Nov 1962. Graduated from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where she received her BA in psychology. She is employed as a sales person with the West Publishing Co. in Palo Alto, California. (1986)
4. Michael Andrew born 7 Jun 1965. He graduated in 1987 from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. (1986)
