If possible could you give a few more details for your G/grandfather please - when he was born, when & where and who he married, it may help in tracking your g/g/grandfather George.

On g/grandfathers marriage certificate it should give his fathers name (George) and hopefully George's occupation.
On g/grandfathers birth certificate it should give you his fathers name (George)and also his occupation along with his mothers maiden name and sometimes if you're lucky the date and place of their marriage.

Do you know if George had any siblings?

It can help in finding people if we have as much detail as possible, tracking backwards from known verified information is fun but it can prove to be a headache sometimes, but it's all part of the adventure.
