Hi I'm Hamish (James) Gardiner I hope some of my family or friends can help . My father Alexander M Gardinerwas born in Paisley to Thomas & Annie Gardiner (ms) Thomson my nan & grandad . My great grandad William Gardiner was married to Elizabeth Thomson 2 Drummond St Edinburgh , my grandad was a Letterpress Priner by trade. I can't seem to Get birth date & place before that.I have come across a potential marriage @ Lesmahago 4/10/1806
Which could be my great nan & gr/dads wediing . It seems weird going back in time as far as this ( I'm new to this )
I also had uncle Willie Gardiner in Paisley , my grandad Thomas Gardiner (shoe maker) had a shop in 16 old Sneddon Paisley . Sadly he died in 1907 sadly money was short with 5 children , they ended up in Paisley Poor House for a time . My father ,Uncle Tom , violet,Mary,Annie were eventually fostered out to Cranloch Elgin & attended Cranloch School . My uncle Willie was old enough to work & look after himself so didn't end up in the poor house.i'm hoping I've still got relations still in Paisley who can tell me how Willie fared & how he survived after a sad & hard beginning to his life. My father & siblings were board out Mr Peter Mcardy Cranloch Croft , Cranloch Elgin Moray. I would be obliged if any of my long lost family or experts out there could help me with my family. Thanks
