Looking for information about the Gellion (can also be spelt Gallon or Gilzan) I believed the lived in Inverness. When Thomas Gellion died in 1840 his 3 daughter Elizabth(who Married Skene Morrison)Ann (who never married) and Hannah(who married a Donald Fraser) started Gellion's Hotel which is still operating today. John Gellion the eldest son 1st when to the West Indies on worked a sugar plantation before returning to Scotland and coming to Australia. He settled with wife Isabella Farquhar in Yarram in South Gippsland.

My great grandmother Eliza Isabel Revil married Skene Gelion Morrison when she was 18. After he died she married again but the family name was continued as my father's middle name was Gellion. Best wishes, Judi
