I am looking for information on George Weiss (born Germany) born 1818 and died 1903 (Bronx, NY). I have been able to get all the information for his children and their family trees. I am trying to find information on his German heritage. I am not sure some of my older relatives said the last name was Von Weisleiben (I am not sure of the spelling) before immigrating to the US.

Aweisssr on 2013-10-09 10:24:13No it not the same. He married Catherine Bessemer, I am not sure on the spelling of the last name since the NYC death certificate is not clear. Since they immigrated the NYC death certificates only show country they came from and does not included parents. They had 4 children Caroline, Julia, Emma, and John. They were all born in New York City (later know as Bronx)I have all the information on the 4 children and their families.
