About 10 years ago, I visited my great grandfather's grave.
James W Waters b sep 9, 1847 - d sep 7, 1925. Also, my
great grandmother's body was beside grandfather. They were buried in the Brushy Creek Baptist Church cemetery, Taylors, SC. You know, of course I never met my grand parents. As I walked up, looked, and meditated on the inscriptions that were on their graves, In a way I did meet them. i'm sure I smiled and was well pleased at what I read.
I saw them through the eyes of relatives and friends.

The inscription read:

Waters, James W.
b Sep 9, 1847 d. Sep 7, 1925

"He is loved by man and God"

Waters, Carrie
b. Apr 14, 1861 d Jul 27, 1929

"She is asleep in Jesus"

They tilled the soil and brought forth the fruits of their hard labor. I felt certain that they had many people who considered them as good friends. I didn't really know them. But, other people did...

Correction on response above - Children of William. Mary J Waters is showing 15 yrs, not 20. James Waters, my great grandfather is 19 years, not 14. The others are correct.
