Hello!
I'm so sorry I forgot to name that she came to Oz in 1849 at about 24 yoa.
The Gale's in London ?r a jungle.
Maybe they're connected. Have you followed the Gale trail backwards? Rosina's father was a mariner and she was an orphan in 1846. Charles Dickens took her in to his "Urania House" It was he who put her and other girls on the ships to Oz.

Thank you for that. I already have that info. George said on her death cert that they were marr in London, which I suspect isn't true.
I have photo of their grave if anyone would like to have it.

Colin Gale - died in Carlow, Ireland, in 1825. Had been in the Carlow Militia.

Richard Gale was baptised in Carlow in 28th October ?? (presumably 1816/17).

His sister Frances Gale was baptised in 1819 in Carlow.
She got to Australia somehow (I haven't found out how - yet). She married Frederick Edward Falkiner, and lived at Eltham. She died in 1888 supposedly "aged 66". She had a large family, and I am descended from Charles Arthur Falkiner, her youngest son who married Moetu Taui in New Zealand.

Edwin Gale was a native born Australian, born on October 22, 1843 in Collingwood, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He was one of three sons of Australian Richard Gale born about 1816 in London, England and Ann Gale born about 1820 in Melbourne, Australia. One genealogy record, however, lists his father as E.F. Gale and his mother as Emely Gale. Richard and Ann were married in Melbourne, Australia in 1841.Their sons were Henry Armory born 1842, Collingwood, Victoria; Edwin born 1843 Collingwood, Victoria and William Henry born 1845 Collingwood, Victoria, Australia.
They migrated from Melbourne aboard the ship Aura to the United States, arriving in New York City and made New York State their home; settling down in the town of Skaneateles in Onondaga County, New York. Richard Gale applied for citizenship in the United States and became a Naturalized Citizen in 1855.

Parent of Richard and Fanny was Colin Gale and Mary according to the baptisimal records (CoI).
Mary may have died shortly after Fanny being born? They had an earlier child also called Fanny, who died at a young age (8 yrs old??).
