Daniel Harris was a school master before being ordained to the priesthood. Daniel was licensed to several curacies, but from 1819 to 1835, he was curate at the parish church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Tetney, Lincolnshire, England, but lived in Grimsby. In November 1813, Daniel married Susanna Oliver, born 1789 in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, England. Daniel was buried in St. Peter's Church, Holton le Clay, Lincolnshire, England, on 28 November 1835.
