"Heath family, London, earliest records"
I am looking for ancestors. My 4g.grandfather was Charles Heath who married Sophia Passmore in London about 1800.
Their son, Charles Mark Heath was christened around 1810 in St.Botolph's church, London.
Their other children included Edward, Sophia, Frances?. and others.
Charles Mark Heath was transported to Australia about 1847, possibly ticket of leave. At 15 sentenced for Larceny, 7 years, but did not arrive in Australia till he was about 18. He married Mary-Ann Whimp. They named their children after Charles' siblings in London e.g. Charles, Edward etc.
My quest is to look further back to where the original Heath line started. That means going back to the 1600s and 1700s. I have hit a brick wall trying to find out Charles Heath in London, who his family were. The reason why I am interested in this line of
enquiry in order to follow my particular Heath ancestor's ethnicity, and their particular story.
Any help gratefully received.
