Henry SEAMAN was born in Essex Co.,New Jersey in 1787

Journal by sylvanie

Henry SEAMAN married Isabel HANSELL in 1807. They probably lived in Essex Co., N.J. Their son Henry was born in 1817. He married Hannah SANDERSON in 1835. We would like to find any information on where this SEAMAN family originated and whether they are related to other Seaman families in the New York/New Jersey area during colonial times. I searched the descendants of Capt. John Seaman and found no Henry with son Henry. We believe this family was English, and Episcopalian; many of our Seamans lived in the Orange, New Jersey area and worked in the manufacture of hats and shoes during the late 1800's.
