Barbara Joy EATHER born in 1939 to Harold Winchmore EATHER 1903-1968 and his first wife,
Elyse Evelyn, nee REID 1904-1955.
Barbara appeared in the Australian movie "Smiley Gets A Gun" in 1959
Harold was the only son of Emily Gertrude EATHER 1865-1967. Emily, the daughter of Edwin EATHER 1852-1890 and Catherine nee TURNER 1855-1933.
When Harold was 17 his mother, in October 1920 married Francis John Thuell (1893-1977) and had 4 more children.
After the second world war Harold Winchmore EATHER was the Press Attache to the Australian trade Commissioner in New York. Barbara Joy had an older sister named Elaine Margaret Eather 1930-1017 and she married American, from Watertown NY, Ted Westbrook PECK 1927-2013. Elaine met him when she was in New York with her father and she was working for the cosmetic firm CYCLAX. They were married in Canberra in 1951. Actually Ted had a very unusual first name I think it was TenEyck. All this information is on the janilye tree in Ancestry.
I'd like to add in case you might be looking for relatives; the four children Emily had to THUELL; William and Francis died in infancy 1924. a girl Edna born 1923 died 1926 and a boy Edwin George THUELL born in 1923 died on the 8 August 1945 at Bougainville New Guinea. His occupation before joining the RAF was Barber. No record of a marriage
