Thank you, I'm grateful for your help. Below is all I have, which I got from the 1840 and 1880 U.S. Census, my grandparent's marriage certificate, and my Dad's birth/death certificates. Try as I might, I've been unsuccessful in my probe.

Thank you for all the possibilities. The Samuel T. Holeman you came up with pretty much compares with what I found in the census reports. I'll start comparing the data with what everything I could find, which is the following.
1880 U.S. Census in Clay Township, Douglas County, MO (1)
Lewis R. Holeman is a white, male, 58 year old farmer. He is married and the head of the household. Lewis stated he was born in North Carolina in 1826. Lewis’ wife, Mary F. Holeman, who is a white, female, and 50 years old who “keeps house.” Mary stated she was born in Kentucky in 1830 and both of her parents were born in Virginia.
Within the household are a son and two daughters:
The son, Samuel T. Holeman, is a white male, 14 years old, unmarried and works as a “farm laborer.” Samuel states he was born in Kentucky in 1866. But while he states his father, Lewis, birthplace is North Carolina, he gives his mother’s birthplace as Virginia. Could Mary Warden be his mother and Mary F could possibly be Samuel’s stepmother.
The daughter, Sarah Holeman is a white, Female, 21 years old, single, and "At Home". She states she was born in Kentucky and the birthplace of her father, Lewis, was North Carolina and her mother’s is Kentucky.
The daughter, Ellen Holeman, is a white, Female, 18 years old, single, and like her sister, is "At Home". She, too, states she was born in Kentucky and the birthplace of her father, Lewis, was North Carolina and her mother’s was Kentucky.

Possibilities:
Two possible relatives, John Holeman and Reuben Holeman who at the time also lived in Clay Township, MO as did Samuel T. Holeman and his father, Lewis R. Holeman. See the Index to Fifth Census of the United States, 1830 Population Schedules State of Missouri. Published by Capitola Hensley Glazner and Bobbie Jones McLane, Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas 71901, 1966
As Samuel T. Holeman stated to the federal census taker that he was born in KY, check to see if he is in the Lewis R. Holeman household in the 1870 census of KY. Lewis and Mary may have been married or about 1858 because their oldest child was 21 in the U.S. Census of MO, 1880
Is L.R. Holeman in the federal 1840 KY Census? L.R. Holeman is recorded in the 1850 and 1860 U.S. Census of Kentucky. He is recorded as living in Allen County. Allen County was formed in 1815 from Barren and Warren counties. The county seat is Scottsville.
