Hi Marbra, Yes Brian is my Husband, my maiden name is Hollings. We are nolonger registered on Genes Reunited as it out lived it's usefullness for us. We are registered on Ancestry.com and use their Family Tree maker, so can send you an PDF of a section of our tree to show how I am related if you like? But it will have to be via regular Email.
Hi Marbra, I am trying to determine if my ancestors are related to Johan Hollings because they are also from the same area. The oldest ancestor I have been able to identify is Dietrich Hollings, born 1778 in Holsen Bederkesa, Hannover, Germany. Dietrich emigrated to Charleston, SC where he died 24 Sep 1853 at the age of 75. According to an old family tree, Dietrich's father may have been Henry Hollings, but I have not been able to find any record of him. I am eager to know who Johan's relatives were in Germany to see if I can connect them to Dietrich or Henry Hollings. If you wouldn't mind letting me know what information you have on Johan and his relatives, I would be happy to give you everything I have on the Charleston, SC Hollings family. Thanks alot!
