You need to find a Davy Crockett family tree and compare it to yours.
There are Crocketts Decendants groups which hold reunions every of couple of years in Texas.
David Stern 'Davy' CROCKETT born Nolichucky River now Green County, Tennessee( not on a mountain top) on the 17 August 1786 the son of John CROCKETT and Rebecca HAWKINS.
Col. David Stern 'Davy' Crockett died at the Battle of the Alamo,San Antonio Mission,Texas on the 6th March 1836 age 49.His body along with the others killed during battle were burned in a funeral pyre at the Alamo
