There are about 20+ family trees posted at ancestry.com so you could contact those who posted both public and private trees. There are also a few at Rootsweb.com

You can check for obituaries in Winnipeg newspapers to find out names of Amenda descendants; check various Canadian directories for the surname.

For ancestor names and places have you seen the actual marriage certificate or the marriage record for your Great Grandparents? You can order microfilm from a Family History Library / Family History Center to look for their marriage & parish record:

Publication:

Leipzig : Zentralstelle für Genealogie, 1960, 1983
Salt Lake City, Utah : Gefilmt durch The Genealogical Society of Utah,

Mikrofilme aufgenommen von Manuskripten in Berlin, 1939.

Kein Verleih an deutsche Genealogie-Forschungsstellen. No circulation to family history centers in Germany.

Parish register of baptisms, and marriages for Heeselicht, Ostpreußen, Germany; now Leszcz (Ostróda), Olsztyn, Poland. Includes Ostrowitt, and Jankowitz. Left-side pages (l. S.) filmed separately from right-side pages (r. S.)

They may do an inter-library loan of this microfilm to your local university or public library. Ask if there is a fee.

Contact libraries in or around Brunkild, Eriview and/or Winnipeg to see if there are any family files or further information on the Amenda surname. This can also be true of Heeselict (now, Leszcz).

Leave information on many genealogy message boards, facebook, et al of the names and places you're interested in and eventually you'll connect with a relative.

Good luck!
