Hi Tiko, Stephen was the 8th of 12 children of David Earl Lindsay (1824-1892) & Elizabeth Brown. The link is a journal I wrote in 2012.You will probably know all this but your readers may not. It could help in the search to know that he went by the alias of James Wilson.

I will look for his burial and update the journal if found

Stephens father was a David Earl but between USA and NZ he changed his name to David Earl Lindsay---- his mothers name . They went to USA and we found them there.
In Porter--- DEL parents went there as well
