It's Josiah's father, Joseph I'm looking for. He married Ann (no other name) they lived in Aldwark, Bradbourne and Joseph died in Bradbourne in 1817 but I can't find his birth details yet.

This is the only marriage foe a Joseph and Ann in the right area I could find. Winster it is about 8 miles north of Bradbourne and about 5 miles north of Brassington.

Thanks Wizard, you're star!
You've found Joseph's birth in 1775 and the surname of his wife, Ann Parks, that's brilliant.
Their children - you're correct except Mary from Winster who I believe is a niece of Joseph's, because he remained in Bradbourne until his death, as you say, in 1817. Ann, incidentally died earlier in May 1812, one month after the birth of their youngest child Josiah, my great, great grandfather. It makes you wonder how he survived!
I'm going to take a look at Mary though because that will lead to her father who will be one of Joseph's brothers.
