The main names I am researching at the moment are COWEN, COWAN, BROWN, SLOAN, WYLIE, BANKS, ENTWISLE, ENTWISTLE, ROBERTSON, TANNAHILL, BANKS - usually in the Liverpool and Lancashire areas of England and in Scotland, although some have emigrated.

I am currently researching some Tannahills who emigrated to New York in 1774 and then to North Carolina and the south. Two of the daughters became artists in New York but despite spending their lives in NY, one was buried back in North Carolina and the other in Ohio.
