My grandmothers name is Irihapeti (Edie) Williams (nee) ASHBY married to Pene Te Koha (Ben) WILLIAMS. My Grandmothers fathers (Walter James Ashby) fathers (John Ashby) parents who are James Ashby & Ellen Stone believed to have lived in Maidstone, Kent, England. I need to know everything you know about them... PLEASE!!! This information would be MUCHLY appreciated xx

My family know as far upto their son John Ashby who married Elizabeth Ashby (nee Herepo) i'm the only one who has gone this far, my granfather has told me about my granmothers side & he told me about James & Ellen who lived in England so i went down the line from there

Because there is little information about my great great great granfathers apperance, all i have found out is that they lived in Maidstone Kent England & never left there, it was also believed that their son John Ashby left Kent to set out on a boat to New Zealand which i am also researching on

Im researching a James Ashby who I believe in the illegitimate son on James Ashby.Im fairly sure his father is James Ashby who livied in Featherston, and brother walter James and Frederick Charles. James senior I believed died in 1904 and his wife was Ellen Stone. This family came from Yalding Maidstone area Kent. I am trying to tye up the ends and prove. uruamoa on 2014-09-09 20:13:44I have been to Maidstone Kent researching James and Ellen, Im off jack Ashby and Heeni Pene from Oruawharo. Jack is from Oromahoe. The old family home is 3 Kettle Lane East Farleigh Maidstone Kent. It is about 3 Kilometers out of Maidstone. They were a poor family, the home has been sold many times since the time of our ancestors and is again uo for sale. I nearly bought as a keepsake 195k. The easiest way to get there from London is by train about an hour ride, beautiful country side. The address is on the nett as house for sale. churr.
