Yesterday I posted on this website about looking for information about my great-grandmother Louise Dondelinger, and her sister Marie Dondelinger, who immigrated to the US from Luxembourg in 1912. Thanks to some helpful people on this site, I was able to figure out something interesting about Marie. She was married in 1916 to Henrick (or Henry, Harvey or Harry, appearing differently in different papers) Kiefer (or Keefer or Kafer.) I realized that Henrick came to the USA on the same day, on the same ship, as Louise and Marie. I wonder if Henry and Marie met on the way here, or if they knew each other before? They did come from different parts of Luxembourg.

I also now THINK I know the names of Louise's and Marie's parents... Michael Dondelinger and Mary Kontan!

My family on my mom's side has never been big on genealogy, so finding out this info is pretty exciting to me.
