I've hit a brick wall and am searching for Jeane (Gray) and/or Lydia Anne Gray. Any help would be appreciated. Please read below.

There is a ton of misinformation on the internet about the 2 listed above.

This is what I know for sure: Captain David Cargill immigrated to New Hampshire from Ireland in 1719. His father was John Cargill and mother Mary Ann Archer. From this point the Cargill/Gray line is uncertain. John Cargill is said to be Jeane (Gray) Cargill's son. There is no written sources of this except copied profiles from lineage sites. Jeane Gray is said to be Lydia Ann (Grey) Gray daughter of Sir Patrick Gray and Lady Mary or Marie or Marion Stewart. None of this can be traced and research shows Mary Stewart never had a daughter Lydia.

Mary Stewart is the grand daughter of King James V of Scotland and is supposedly my 14th GGF so I'd like to find the real connection if possible. Thanks for any help.
