HI Tony, my name is Megan. My mothers name is Hokimate Onehi Nee (Gilbert). Her fathers name is Tuhi Kapua Kerepeti and his brothers names are Ben, Topia, and Harry. Mum's grandfather is Kerepeti Te peke. I do believe your fathers father is my mum's uncle. MY nana is a Jane Gilbert Nee (Macki). I have a photo of Them togther. Kia Ora Tony. Kerepeti Te Peke was my grandfather. My father was Tuhikapua, the potiki of the whanau. Growing up around your maternal grandmother, Koherangi at Ngunguru was part of my childhood. I can remember her two sons who were part of that growing up - Tam and David.
I must be an aunt twice removed!
I live at Matapouri and often go visit Kairaumati at Ngunguru. The wahitapu is Kaahia - all your tupuna lie there.
A few of us are talking that it is timely that, te whanau o Kerepeti Te Peke, find each other and come together.
We grew up as Te Waiariki o Ngunguru, an ancient iwi in its own right, hence we've comitted ourselves to promote this throughout nga uri o Kerepeti Te Peke.

Hi there, My name is Anna and I am descended from Kerepeti Tepeke and Ripeka Kimete I believe. Are they the same people but with English Last names? They had a daughter Hohi Kerepeti and she married my great-great grandfather Hokino Paraone. I am looking for any help as I have hit a huge bump in my ancestral journey.
