janilye on 2014-07-22 15:23:35I don't know but the few trees I've seen with that surname show it as a corruption of Enloe or Enloes from the Netherlands.
like this one in GENI and DebbieGilley74 has a tree in ancestry she calls Inlow Insights.
Someone in here may be able to answer you.
I think some names are born out of illiteracy and the use of phonetics. Like my family name which in Eather but was once Heather now every Eather is related because of one man dropping his aitch in 1790.
