My Name is Jean McGifford Mitchell and my mother was Mary Barclay McGifford Maltman dob 23 April 1927. mum had several sisters, Annie, Jean, Christina and one brother William all now deceased. my grandfather William McGifford married Christina Robertson. My grandfather William died 3rd November 1960 aged 64. His parents were Arthur McGifford and Jane Barclay McGifford.

I have just found some old certificates from which some of this info comes.

I have a birth entry for a Robert Lightbody McGifford, born at 150 Harmony Row, Govan in 1903 - to Arthur and Jane McGifford. Has anyone any info on this? Its a new name to me as the name Lightbody doesn't appear anywhere else in my family. Also William John Scott.
