Hi, I am seeking to share/gather information about the families of Innes/Fraser in Nova Scotia. Col./Captain James Fraser who had land grants in Shelburne/Queens/Pictou or the family of Robert Innes and Margaret Sutherland Innes who had grants in Shelburne/Queens. Both are Loyalists and settled in the 1780s. The Fraser family is from Kirkhill, Inverness Scotland and the Innes family are from Thurso, Caithness Scotland.

We are one of the Innes families that were extensively studied regarding the Stow fiasco and as a result I have lots of information for that particular study if you are interested. Since Robert is likely the son of a daughter of Sir John Sinclair in Caithness I doubt it has anything to do with us. It is very interesting though...to say the least. The confusion and false records can make for a load of fascinating findings. Such fun...
