Is there record of Amos Totten married to Jane Boxley?

Question by maxine06

Amos Totten b 1818 in Tazwell Co., VA.[gt gt grandfather to my husband] First wife was Rebecca Wright b 1823 in VA. d 1859, married to Amos 16 Jan 1839 in Tazwell Co., VA., was the d/o Gedeon Wright and Eleanor Waggoner.
Amos married a 2nd time before 1860 in MO., to Jane b 1839. The children from this union was Frank S. Totten [ gt grandfather to my husband]b Sep 1862 d in Sep 1902 in Jasper Co., Joplin, MO. And Anna Totten was b ABT 1867 in MO. It seems this Jane Boxley ran a boarding house where Totten was living in 1880, taken from the 1880 census of Jasper co., Joplin, MO.
Is this the Jane Amos married? Thanking you in advance for taking the time to help me with this search. Really appreciate it.

Hi Edmond; Thanks again so very much for the help you are giving me.
I will never get impatient with you, really appreciate you taking the time to help me. You see, I have to ask folks to be patient with me, I have some brain damage from cardiac arrest I had a few years ago. But, the Lord gave me another chance at life, trying hard to get it right.
You may very well be right on "Jane".
Frank S. [Amos son] married Elsie Caroline Johns and the daughter they had in 1890 was Sylvia May Totten who married James William Marsh. Sylvia & James"Will" were my husbands grandparents. Sylvia told their kids and grandkids they were Choctaw Indian. I found Frank's Indian card # and he was 1/16 Choctaw. It has been so hard to find information on Frank, maybe due to the Indian blood, what do you think? Maybe Jane was Choctaw and the reason we don't find that information.
Thanks again so very much.
regards,
Maxine
