James and Mary Pigg, Gorleston, Norfolk, England

Journal by drewdrops

I am researching my ancestors called Pigg. James Pigg was born in 1808 but his history is sketchy. I have a birth of a James Pyg to an Ann Pyg in the area of Bradwell, Norfolk, no father. Later a relation of mine posted a newpaper cutting about the grandson of James and in that it said that he was found in a pub doorway called the Pigg and that is how he got his surname? Anyone know anything more that that. James and Mary had 4 children, Elizabeth, James, William (my g g grandfather) and Robert.
