I have not been able to locate any info on your Eleanor Maud GOLDING in the records to date lynniegirl, but I did come across the marriage of Gladys Beryl GOLDING and Norman Victor SMITH in 1940 and I'm sure this will be your Gladys.

I have also located two deaths for a Norman Victor SMITH in the Victorian Death Records.

- 1966 in Wangaratta, Victoria, aged 66 years.

- 1970 in Footscray, Victoria, aged 59 years.

I'm unable to confirm if one of these were married to Gladys, so it may not be the same Norman Victor SMITH.

My research has found three possible deaths for your Gladys, but I need to confirm her marriage, and a few details about her husband.

... Thanks for the kind words edmondsallan but I'm no wiz. The records tell a story and you just need to understand them, and read between the lines to find the answers.

If you wish i have an extensive tree on Geni.com that may help you heaps.
With the McConkeys you might find the issue is illegitimate children due to a failure to marry of the parents, at least that is what we believe at this point.

If you are unable to access my tree, send an email to ljryan2009@hotmail.com and i will send you an invite from my web page.
My partner Sue and i are planning a trip down south to photograph some graves and buildings perhaps we can meet up.

Kind Regards
Leigh
