John LINDSAY from ireland

Query by timetraveller

John LINDSAY born c1847 in Ireland migrated to England settling in Lancashire and then Birmingham. His wife's forename was Margaret, but I cannot find the marriage so cannot find her surmname. Their daughter Margaret married a BAYLEY in Birmingham. I would love to locate her parent's place of birth and details of the marriage so that I can complete this part of my tree and also have a purpose to visit Ireland.

Hello timetraveller - There is a marriage on Emeraldancestors.com for a John Lindsay and a Margaret in 1873 that might be right if they married in Strabane, Co. Tyrone. I don't have further access to see Margaret's surname but I will have a look elsewhere. The website: cotyroneireland.com is good for the Strabane area and I have already seen entries for the Lindsays so might be worth a look.
There is a marriage between Eleanor Lindsay and Arthur Edward Bayley in Aston (Birmingham) in 1897. Could this be the daughter Margaret (no Margaret Lindsay marriages to Bayleys found). I will get back to you if I can find more.
