I am looking for any information up the line for John Williams. His parents and grand parents etc. John Williams travelled to South Africa prior to 1862. He and Mary Ann Hilliard (Williams) had 4 children Martha Jane, Alfred, Harry John and Norton.

noggin on 2013-02-12 10:06:41No I do not have any Williams in my tree, I just tried to look for a birth for you in Buckinghamshire and found about 6 John's. Unfortunately I have nothing to cross reference. Does it have a fathers name on his marriage certificate, do you know if he had siblings and their names?

DaleGW on 2013-02-12 11:40:21Hi Noggin. Found out that JW was in Cape Town on 21 May 1860 and was an Able Seaman. So he may have been in the service in the UK prior to going to South Africa. Am waiting for Baptism or Marriage certificate info and will let you know. Thanks
