Dear Lynn, If you have a 'convict' in your family tree there's bound to be stacks of information available. In the top right-hand corner of familytreecircles, search for keywords: convict and you should find lots of resources available.

I did a quick check of the Pandora's Archives at First Families 2001 Project and found KEARNS, KEARNES, KERNS.

To access this, click on search, then click on Select the letter of the surname you are looking for.

There should also be tickets of leave etc. info at the State Records of NSW website.

There could even be records at the 'Lesley Uebel's Claim a Convict website'.

Q.Do you have his Death Certificate? If not they usually reveal a great deal including all children's names, ages, when/where married etc.
