Am looking for information regarding my great grandfather, Joseph Morris, born about 1850 in Worcestershire England. Another birthplace has been recorded as Applehills England. He travelled to Australia where he met Lucinda Fidler apparently in Warrnambool. He is listed as her husband and the father of all her children. It is stated on various birth certificates that they married in Warrnambool on 4 May 1870 or 1871. However there is information that shows Lucinda Fidler married a William Bird on 4 May 1871 in Warrnambool. Joseph and Lucinda lived in Blackall Queensland for a few years before eventually settling in Aramac Queensland. Joseph deserted his family about 1898 and that is all that is known about him. Joseph and Lucinda's living children in 1895 are listed as Louisa (1878-1958), Elizabeth (1882-), Lucinda (1885-1953), Rose (1890-1954), Thomas (1891-1980)and Samuel (1894-1984). My Grandfather spoke about his father Joseph as having 4 brothers.
