Joseph travelled to New Zealand and married Margaret Ryan on 11 Feb 1861 in Auckland, New Zealand,
Their first child Ellen was born there in 1863. They then travelled to Victoria , Australia where they had Martha 1864,

The family lived and worked around the Collingwood/Fitzroy area of Victoria. Joseph Rahilly was a bootmaker, his daughter Betsy was a shoe machinist.
Betsy never married but had two Children Myrtle 1911 & Lola May 1913.
I have no knowldge of where Joseph came from or any siblings, as there where a lot of Rahilly's in Victoria at that time there ia a possibility that there ia a family connection.
