Looking for relatives of William Mansfield, son of Richard Mansfield ?

Query by Kesia

I am researching William Mansfield. He was transported to Tasmania in 1801-02 for Highway Robbery, recieved a sentence of death but was transported for life. He married Maria Tucker, the daughter of Elizabeth Cole and James Tucker, both convicts. Also William Ellis, Royal Marine who had a child Thomas Cole with Elizabeth and Richard Cornelius Burrows who married Elizabeth Cole in 1810 in Tasmania and they had 4 children, Richard, John, Anne and Michael.

John Boucher a convict arrived in Tasmania on the Medway. Henry Pigdeon of Basingstoke, Hampshire. Thank you for any help that is given.

Dear Kesia, Hi. You should be able to find out so much information you will be astonished.

Goto RootsChat and register as a new user, it is a FREE site. Then goto their Emigrants to Australia board.

Rootschatters have the old Pioneers index on cd-rom and will be most happy to do lookups for you.

With ancestors that were transported as convicts, there is a paper trail to follow.

Regards,
Alison from QLD.
