Looking for the Goldfield Family
My grandparents names were Joseph and May Goldfield, nee Unerman. He was born in Yevpatoriya, in the province of (R)atvitch, in the Ukraine on January 11, 1873. They went to Britain in the early years of the 20th century, and as far as I know never returned. I believe my grandmother came from Lithuania. They had eight children, one of whom was my father. Their names were Harris, Sarah (or Sadie), Sam, Max, Ann (Annie), Lillian, Phyllis, and Eddie. Harris died as an infant in 1905. My grandfather took out natrualization papers in 1912. They died in the 1950s, and are buried at Montagu Road Cemetery, edmonton, London.
That is all I know. If there is anyone out there who thinks this might be part of their family, please contact me. My email address at work is GRANVIBR@WELLSFARGO.COM

Dear Brian, Tip for you:-
It's possible your GOLDFIELD family will appear on any of the UK Census 1881, 1891 and 1901 (1911 not yet available I think though).
Goto RootsChat and find the England boards (London). Rootschatters will be happy to do some lookups for you. They even voluntarily goto cemeteries and take photographs of headstones.
Best of luck,

Dear Editor:
Thank you for writing. I don't think my grandparents were in the country until after 1901, but I'm not sure about that. Is it easy or difficult to access the 1901 census? I'd be grateful if you were able to tell me.
Brian
PS I will certainly look up Roots Chat
