Looking for Wenzel's that came out to Australia in 1849 aboard the Emmy. Frederick William Wenzel was born 3 Oct 1832, Sprutan, Girbigsdorft, Prussia. He married Ann Farmer in 13 Mar 1866 in Penshurst Victoria.

Hello Juliet,
My name is Pam & your Frederick William Wenzel was brother of my Great grandmother Pauline Emilie Wenzel, (Father Gotleib or Gotfried & Mother Johanna Neuman).
I started looking for my family history April 2010 & am stumped with Gottlieb & Johanna.
According to what I have found, Gottlieb died in Hamburg on or just prior to boarding the Emmy on way to Australia. Johanna, Frederick & Pauline continued their journey. Pauline (later used Emily as first name) married Peter Wilson (second marriage for both) Their first born was my grandmother Elizabeth.
I am more than happy to share info I have & hope to find someone who has a photo of this branch of my tree.
