I may be able to help you, Alfred Fleck was my grandfather and so was Oral Glenn Fowler. I have family trees on several sites I also have heard of this book, but never could track it down, so I just did my own family tree, I have been researching it since 2007 also
My grandfather's name was also Alfred Gustav Fleck, born in Kaukauna, Wisconsin on 02 NOV 1885. The parents of Alfred G. Fleck (my great-grandparents) were Gustav Henry Fleck (03 FEB 1855 - 03 DEC 1923) and Louisa M. Wiese (20 AUG 1855 - 18 AUG 1920).
Below are the obituaries for Friedrich and Maria, the parents of Gustav Henry Fleck. It may be possible that these two are somehow related to the Flecks in Minnesota or Indiana. I have never seen the book called the Fleck Heritage but my cousin, Peter Fleck, who lived in Sheboygan, Wisconsin during the 1990s told me that he heard of other Flecks from Sheboygan, WI had ancestors who were circus performers.
