Obituary: PIONEER LADY DEAD
Mrs Julyan Fry, Aged 90 Years Passes Peacefully Away
On last Friday morning, surrounded by children and friends, Mrs Julyan Fry, the oldest pioneer lady of this part of the county, passed peacefully from this life. She had been gradually sinking for several weeks and the end of her life journey was expected at any time. Her mind was clear until the last hours and patiently awaited the end, saying: "It will soon be over."
She was born in Frederick county, Md., Sept. 15, 1814; died at her home in Wood county, Ohio, Sept. 30, 1904, aged 90 years and 15 days.
She was married to George Fry in 1831 and to this union were born 15 children, eight of whom have preceded her to the spirit world; four sons and three daughters survive her.
In 1835 she moved from Pennsylvania to Holmes county, Ohio, and on Sept. 17, 1856 moved to Wood county, where she resided until the time of her death. In 1867 she united with the U.B. Church in which she lived a devoted christian until the time of her death.
In her death she leaves 7 children, 41 grand children, 51 great geand children, and 5 great great grand children. A most remarkable record for age.
The funeral occurred on Sunday at the Pleasant Grove church; Rev. Alexander officiating. Interment at the Perry Center cemetary.

Moves: Moved from Pennsylvania to Salt creek Twp, Holmes Co, Ohio in 1835 and on to Wood county in 1856.
