Seeking informaiton on my great grandfather John Myers (born circa 1840) who migrated to Australia with his wife Ann from Clonmel, Co Tipp, Ireland in 1878. Family anecdotes suggests they had earlier (circa 1870) gone to the US where Ann's brother Richard Cashen lived in Blstone Street, Cambridge Mass. John and Ann's first-born daughter Mary (Mamie) was left in the US with Uncle Dick and John and Ann returned to Ireland. All this is a puzzle. John then followed his sister Mary who married Lawrence Houlihan to Victoria, Australia. There he cleared land for a farm he named "Clonmel". He raised a large family and died in 1922.
