Looking for the Duncomb/e link with Earl of Bathurst/Jamaica/Australia

Trying to place David Duncomb, perhaps Duncombe, born 1784 Jamaica died in NSW Australia, and his father David Duncomb(e) 1746-1818 born & died London but spent at least between 1780 & 1815 in Jamaica.
Unable to work out parents even though described 'Esquire' in Jamaican Almanacs for period. His son had patronage of Earl of Bathurst when he came to Australia suggesting connections but cannot confirm them.
Any clues would be useful. Note I am aware of the marriage between Duncombe/Frances Bathurst but cannot link to it.

Amongst other connections the Anthony Duncombe married Frances Bathurst. I think she was his 2nd (may have been 3rd wife).
Now it gets tricky but Anthony was the son of Anthony and Jane. The problem is that Jane was (Jane Cornwallis) and there are two Jane Cornwallis' married to Duncombes [now is this one Jane marrying two Duncombe's or Aunt and Niece marrying 2 Duncombes [I am not persuaded either way].
Either way the Duncombes married into the Bathursts. They also sold Battlesden Manor [I am pretty certain I'm talking about the right property] to the Bathursts.
gtg2407 on 2015-08-16 03:06:09Now as for your main question David Winter Duncombe came to Australia in 1822. Onboard the Minstrel together with 3 kids [ended up with 12 by my count].
He was the son of David William Duncombe and Eleanor Winter.
David William was the son of David {1709-1796] and Elizabeth Hutchinson
That David was the son of William Duncombe.
