Monteith's from Scotland to USA

Journal by ztmonteith

I am looking for information on James Monteith he was borned in 1734 in Inverary Castle, Argyll,Scotland. He married Katarine Kerr from Port Glasgow,Renfrew,Scotland. I have info on him but there are different from each other. I have his father and on back and also to present date, but need to see which info is correct.

Re... I have finally found the information that I need. I have this family all the way back to 800 and I have pictures also. This family is very interesting. They have Kings, Princess, Queens from England, France, Wales and more. If any one needs this information just contact me and I will be glad to share it.

Hello , tracing family ,they came over from Ireland (I think Castlederg,Tyrone )and settled around the Stranraer area, but can't find when they went there and why.

The earliest Monteith I have is Andrew Monteith born about 1793 in Scotland. He married Isabella Hendry or Henry about 1816. He immigrated to the US and died in Grant County, Wisconsin in 1878. We have a few James Monteiths in our tree that were born later. Family lore says the Monteiths are descended from "Royalty".

I would be interested in the info you have on the Monteiths if you would be willing to share it with me. Anything you could share would be appreciated.

I would be interested in any information you have on the Monteith line. I have traced part of my ancestry back to James Monteith, born in Inverary (or Inveraray) Castle, in Argyll. I would appreciate anything you can send me :) Thanks
