O'DONNELL COOPER, HOOPER AND BERGER Families in Victoria

Journal by MsMeridy

I have been doing alot of reserach and have come across a link with the O'Donnell family and the Hoopers, Coopers and Bergers that lived out Devenish way.

It was very interesting reading to see all the links to and from families that are familiar to me.

Quite exciting as well.

If you wish to contact me I can put you onto the website where all this information is contained and I may also be able to answer some of your questions.

Cheers

Meredith

Hi Meredith, Wow! I'm impressed with the two sites you gave me on GR. I'm certainly interested in the Hooper family around Devenish. James and Mary (Broom) arrived in Vic in 1844 on Sea Queen and lived in Merri Creek. How or when they went to Devenish is unknown to me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dear Peter,

I am glad you found FTC and my journals. And I am glad that you got my msg so quickly and looked up those two sites.

I have got so into Genealogy a year ago. But had quitened off this year due to family sadness.

Hmm a quick look at a disc came across a James Hooper born to James and Mary at Merri. In 1848, BRN 10507.

A Mary Emma born to James and Mary in Yarra Bend in 1857. BRN 1526

And a James from Martha and Samson..youve prob got those details now from the other site.

The disc I have on immigration and the ship names start too late 1852 -79.

Will keep looking around for you.

Cheers

Meredith
