My father's family immigrated to the US in 1855 from Stabbach, Stuttgart, Germany. Georg and Barbara Kilwy along with their children arrived in New York City and eventually found their way to Leelanau County in Michigan. I have been trying to find out anything about my family before they immigrated. It seems that there were some relatives who remained in Germany. I think it would be great to make contact with any distant family.

At about the same time another relative immigrated from Alsace Lorraine, France. Their name was Ramstein - father's name Jacob.
I have no information on a narrower local town, etc. They eventually located in Chicago, Illinois. No further contacts. Maybe someone would be willing to help.
